Participation in the Duel Masters™ Fan Fiction of this website is authorized by the site's Administrator. Currently, the entire storyboard for the Set Ten Saga is complete, and no further applicants for appearances in this saga are being accepted. Applications for appearance in the next Saga are open.

It is not necessary to attain upper tier ranking in the KirriCorp league in order to qualify for an appearance (duel) in Fan Fiction, merely to display general skill in KC dueling. You are also not required to agree with KC errata, though you must abide by them in your duel. i.e. complaining about Errata will not stop you from being able to participate, only refusal to play by them has this effect.

All duels for Fan Fiction are subjected to a certain, further limitation beyond regular KC errata. One may only use cards that have been released in the fictional world. The saga label tells which set has been most recently released, and therefore what cards may be used (from set One up until the set in the Saga label). The storyline progresses to the next saga every two months, approximately, and a new set of cards becomes legal for play.

Participation also requires a certain level of activity in the #KC chatroom. Appearances must be discussed with the author in open chat. PMs are acceptable only in the case of arranging match scheduling. Generally, the author prefers to not converse in PM regarding the work at all, but may waive this in order to protect 'deck privacy'.

One should note, beforehand, that the following terms are considered accepted from the time one agrees to participate in Fan Fiction.

• Any relevant opinions expressed by the participant in any public forum may be quoted and used for character dialogue
• Any dialogue occurring within the duel log is very likely to be quoted and used for character dialogue
• Any mistakes or take-backs occurring within the duel log may be expressed in the work if it is deemed important to the play
• If no 'avatar' or 'Kaijudo style' is defined by the player, this may be chosen for them, but may be changed later
• Re-entry may be denied to a character who is known to make drastic changes in deck repeatedly without their original character profile representing this.
• Drastic deck changes may reduce the chances of reappearance even if character profile does imply this.
• Once you have sent a duel log/faced an NPC in a duel, it becomes the shared property of the involved players and the author. The resultant Episode is considered under the same jurisdiction. You may not demand that the author remove your appearance or duel from this website. You may redistribute any Episode featuring your duel on any public forum, unaltered, and you may claim it as your intellectual property provided you do not claim that you wrote it.
• If one gains a fictional KC league title, one is expected to defend it and make the appropriate appearances, within reason, or one may be stripped of that title.
