Episode 56. - Duelists' Glorious Revelations

This Volume of the Fan Fiction was lost when it was removed from DuelZone due to an oversight on the part of the author. Attempts will be made to reconstruct it within the coming weeks.

Rebuilding... accessing memory fragments:

The Episode was a duel between Tom Rogers and Eugene Pradian, Pradian using a Four Civilization Fire/Water/Darkness/Nature Disruption. It was set in Singapore.

Suzanne sat on the bed in Gene Kirricort's hotel room, sipping tea from her mug, watching her employer sift through the pile of cards on the bed. He would take up some, then sort through them, returning each unwanted one to the pile with a flick of his wrist.

"Mine is one of the weakest creatures in Duel Masters? It does not even have an effect? What does that mean, that I duel powerlessly?"

"Perhaps it means that you have a very pure and simple style of dueling."

"I haven't been able to hear it or feel it lately."

"Maybe it is your subconscious wish to reject it, or maybe you're just not attuned enough with it yet."

"Why don't I want any blockers? I was so sure I liked them before."

"Blockers are part of the Light Civilization. Perhaps that is what you really liked, and only associated it with blockers because of how you saw the Light Civilization's blockers used."

Hours later, at the tournament.

"Hmm, is it Yodaz's deck?"

Pradian summoned a Bronze-Arm Tribe.
"Oh, no. He wouldn't run those anymore."

At the end of the duel:

"Good game."

"No, it wasn't. I got a slow start and couldn't do anything against Yodaz's deck."

Suzanne seemed to Gene as someone who had never had very much fun, in her life.

"You could just play in these tournaments while we are doing all this touring around. Once we actually arrive at one of them there is seldom anything I need you to do until it's over anyways."
